Flower Guild
This ministry adds beauty to our worship time with floral arrangements while giving consideration to the seasons of the church and the types of services.
The Flower Guild was formed in 2001 by Charlotte, Kathy and Jeanne. These ladies have moved on to other churches, but their legacy continues. Our Flower Guild Chair, Mary and the Flower Guild Committee bring joy each week by rotating their talents in adorning the retable, under the cross with weekly floral arrangements. Our goal is to interpret the Gospel lesson for that day and create a floral interpretation.
On holidays or special occasions we decorate the narthex, sanctuary doors and candle sconces. We follow the liturgical calendar using the colors of the altar cloths and the pastor’s stole. When green is used on the altar we can use any flower colors. Lent is purple, Easter is white, Advent is blue, Pentecost and Reformation Sundays are red, and Christmas is white.
If you would like to join us, no experience is necessary and training will be provided. You must be available on Friday or Saturday. See Mary Molter or contact the church office.
